Kissing Irony

Sometimes I am hopeful
that pain will cease existing

I cross my fingers
curl my toes
and pray for the best

Then I remember
nights spent in bed
with tears on my face

wanting a break from it all

On the brink
Irony lent me her
sweet hand

Pain makes you stronger…

Irony held me close to her
reminding me that
pain is for the strong
tears are for the loved
and the woman
I’ve become is Strength.

      • Awesome! Well I’ve read maybe 10 poems and have enjoyed all the ones I’ve read. It looks like you have tons more. Could be a cool project to assemble some of your + the readers’ favorites into at least an ebook. Just a thought, have a great day!! 🙂
